We have operated as sailing instructors from the year 1998. Our instructors are easy-going sailing professionals who have a great attitude towards teaching. With us you can learn the ABC of sailing or get a racer’s most secret tips. As training boats we use 606 sailboats, optimist dinghies and WelkerBay dinghies. Our base is at the Brändö Seglare yacht club in Kulosaari, Granfeltintie10 Helsinki.

We also do private sailing courses for groups and racing teams.

Ladies Sailing School

The very popular Ladies Sailing School is a course for beginners as well as more experienced sailors. It’s a course for women, but men are also welcome!

The very popular Ladies Sailing School is a course intended for women who are beginners or already have sailing experience, but men are also welcome!

In our courses we use 606 sailboats that are safe and easy to handle. In every boat there is one instructor and 2-3 students. The groups are divided into the boats according to prior experiences.

In the beginner groups we learn the basics both in theory and in practice. Knots, manoeuvres, sailing skills and safety at sea are included in the course. In the continuation groups we get familiar with sailing with a spinnaker, trimming and racing.

The sailing courses are held on weekends and evenings.

 

 

 

 

Weekend couses week 21 and 32, Friday 5-9pm and Saturday, Sunday 10am-5pm.

Evening courses week 21, 23 and 32: monday, wednesday and thursday  16.30-21.00

Junior & Teenager Sailing School

Our junior courses are meant for children in the age of 7-12, while the teenager courses are meant for 13-16 year-olds.

Our junior sailing school is intended for children in the age of 7-12, while the teenager courses are meant for 13-16 year-olds. The boats used in the courses are optimist dinghies, walker bay dinghies and in the teen courses 606 sailboats. We supply all the necessary equipment.

At the courses we learn sailing both in theory and in practise, knots, manoeuvres, sailing skills and safety at sea. Further more the program includes a sailing trip to an adventure island, football, frisbee and other fun games.

Junior School week 23, 24 and 32: Monday-Friday at 9am-4.30pm

Teenager sailing school week 23: Monday-Friday at 12-5pm
